Day One: Our Adventure begins as we journey through Wisconsin and Illinois. Our destination today is St. Charles, MO.

 

Day Two: After breakfast, our travels will take us through the hills of Missouri into Oklahoma. This evening we will stay in Oklahoma City, OK.

 

Day Three: The landscape has changed...the rolling range of cattle country fills our windows as we chase tumbleweed down the road. New Mexico lies beyond the Texas panhandle. We will spend the night in Albuquerque, NM. Optional Casino visit this evening.

 

Day Four: Cross the border into Arizona where its Petrified Forest and Painted Dessert await. We travel the land where dinosaurs once roamed...where ancient trees are now colorful gemstones...and where desert sands swirl with purple, gray and red. Tonight our stay is in Tusayan, AZ.

 

Day Five:  Millions of years in the making, the Grand Canyon will awe and entertain us throughout our visit. After breathtaking views, we will travel to Las Vegas, NV. We are staying at the Golden Nugget Casino Hotel at the heart of the Freemont Street Experience.

 

Day Six - Day Eight: Enjoy free days to explore Las Vegas on your own. Every where you turn, you’ll find something extraordinary. Visit the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay, one of the finest aquariums in the country. The Secret Garden of Siegfried & Roy at the Mirage is home to big cats, a dolphin habitat and lush gardens. View art masterpieces at the Bellagio Fine Art Gallery or at the Guggenheim Museum in the Venetian. Long ago, shopping was a diversion for the ladies while the “breadwinners” played the tables. Not anymore, Vegas has become a global shopping destination, Las Vegas Boulevard South is one of the world’s great shopping streets. Of course, with casinos open 24 hours a day anytime is the right time to pull up to a blackjack table, roulette wheel, craps table, or slot machine.

 

Day Nine: Today we leave the glitz and glamour of Las Vegas with riches in hand and travel through nature’s landscape showcase. As we travel through Utah we will visit Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. Spectacular views of multi-colored canyons, sheer cliffs, deserts, streams, waterfalls and wildflowers await. 

 

Day Ten:  We will travel through the Rocky Mountains, the great backbone of North America, which extend from New Mexico to Canada. Our destination is the Mile High city, Denver, Colorado. The City’s skyscrapers mark the final transition between the Great Plains and the American West.

 

Day Eleven:  Travel to Council Bluffs, IA. Optional gambling at Harrah's.

 

Day Twelve:  Return home.
